Commemorative Stamp Design - Marie Curie 🧪☢️
Marie Curie, the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only woman to win two, was a groundbreaking Chemist and Physicist, and an all around bad b*tch. She discovered the elements Radium and Polonium, as well as radiation, all without a proper lab and no PPE. She also invented a way to mobilize x-Ray machines for use on the battlefield of WWI to prevent unnecessary loss of limbs. She died at age 66 from the radiation she so casually handled.I illustrated Marie Curie and gave her a glowing effect from the radiation. Radium and Polonium’s valence electron configurations glow in the background, and the bones of Curie’s hands are visible like an X-ray.
